Tyesha Wright is a former Minneapolis Roosevelt All-Conference guard (2006-2010). She's a 1,000pt scorer and led her team to the Section Finals her Junior and Senior years.

Ty has been the program's Head Coach for the past 3 years amassing a 67-18 overall record to date. In 2023-24 her team won the Minneapolis City Conference with an 11-1 record, won the Twin City Championship with a victory over St Paul Como Park, and won the Section 3AAA Championship qualifying for the MSHSL Girls Basketball State Tournament.

In the 2023-24 season Ty was awarded the Section 3AAA Coach of the Year Award.

Prior to becoming Head Coach for the Teddies Ty was an Assistant Coach for 10 years where she led her 2019 B-Squad team to the Minneapolis City Championship and the Twin City Championship.
