Zero Temps Don’t Deter TNT’s Mila & Dylan
 

BIWABIK, MN - The TNT Nordic Ski team cheered on Mila Beitz  and Dylan West at the MN State Ski Championships.

Both racers did the individual pursuit race which is a 5km skate race done with an interval start (100+ skiers leaving one at a time every 15 seconds).  The second race is done classical style, another 5km of racing.  The fastest skier goes out at time 0:00 and all skiers are released at their time back from that leader, pursuing those in front of them.  

The race was delayed by an hour due to extremely cold temperatures.  At race time it was barely warmer than zero degrees (note the face tape protection). with 100+ skiers competing.

Mila Beitz finished 48th overall in the girls pursuit.  Dylan West finished 23rd overall, making the all-state team (top 25 skiers).  His time in the second half (pursuit portion) was 10th overall.
