Teddies Triumphant: Roosevelt Downs Bloomington Kennedy at Home Opener!

 

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - The Minneapolis Roosevelt Teddies Boys Basketball team secured a decisive victory in their home opener on Thursday, December 4, defeating the Bloomington Kennedy Eagles 88-67. This win marks the Teddies' tenth straight victory at home dating back to last season and pushes their record to 1-1. The team's offensive efficiency and strong rebounding proved to be key factors in the win against the Eagles.

 

Key Player Contributions

Two players stood out with exceptional all-around performances, fueling the Teddies' attack and defense:

  • Calvin Peterson (#34): Peterson was the game's high scorer, dropping 25 points. His stat line was filled across the board, including a team-leading 9 rebounds (2 offensive, 7 defensive), 6 assists, 5 successful free throws, and 5 deflections. He shot 7-for-10 on two-point attempts and added two 3-pointers.
